The project in question is a renovation of a building in downtown Milan, on the corner of Via Orefici and Via Cantù. The building consists of two bodies, called OREFICI and CANTU’. The two bodies are joined by an arch with a terrace above the central walkway and a covered footbridge. Both buildings have a classical structure with mostly brick load-bearing masonry. The arrangement of structural elements is irregular, both in size and alignment.
The buildings have 2 basement floors. The first basement, ground floor and second floor will be occupied by commercial activities. The remaining floors (4 floors for CANTU’ and 5 for OREFICI) will be occupied by offices.
