The building was the headquarters of the Post and Telecommunications (former Stock Exchange) and the original design, dated 1899-1901, is the work of architect. Luigi Broggi. The building located at the corner of Via Cordusio and Via Orefici has two basement floors and seven floors above ground, while the one that stands at the corner of Via Cordusio and Via Armorari has only one basement floor and seven levels above ground. The exterior aesthetic appearance will be improved, either through maintenance works and restoration of the original existing finishes and/or materials, or through visual mitigation works and partial relocation of existing plants and channels.
