The target building is at 14 Carducci Street. It is a building of 6 stories above ground and 1 basement, built in 1924, and underwent subsequent renovation and expansion in the late 1940s. The load-bearing structure is masonry as far as the vertical load-bearing elements are concerned.
The floors are partly in r.c. o and partly in lath-cement. There is also an attic that is accessible but not habitable, with wood and tile roofing above.
The project intervention includes an almost complete change of use from office to residential, except for the ground floor, which will remain office/commercial.
