The project involves the renovation of six buildings constructed in the 1970s, remodeled in the early 2000s and used as offices by various tenants over time, including the Internal Revenue Service as well as Generali.
Architecturally, the main works are represented by the redevelopment and enhancement of the building’s rooftop and facades; the interior office spaces will also be renovated, with a redistribution aimed at defining a more modern open space configuration of the rooms.
The basement floors will retain uses, archives and technical rooms. The ground floor will continue to house the entrance lobbies, rooms for office use, and the control room
The connection between the buildings is made with new buildings called Tower 3 and Tower 4 made of reinforced concrete with nine floors above ground and one basement, with solid slabs with bidirectional behavior. The vertical structures consist solely of pillars.
Since the new buildings insist on an area occupied by a parking lot on the first basement floor, the ground floor slab, driveway ramp and staircase to the basement floor will be totally demolished for construction.
