Activities/Responsibilities
The resource will be placed within the engineering company and will be responsible for:
- Reporting directly to the facilities department manager, the candidate is expected to manage as a project leader one or more structural projects, including large
- Ensure, at each stage, that design objectives are achieved on time and to the required quality
TRAINING:
- Master’s degree in civil engineering majoring in structures
- Desirable course of study focused on structural design
REQUIREMENTS:
- Min 10 years of experience on medium to large works (work amount > 5 million) as a designer of reinforced concrete/steel/wood structures and construction supervision of structures
- Worksite experience
- Knowledge of foreign languages: English
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Managing the design activities of one or more job orders in compliance with applicable technical standards, timelines, and defined contract conditions
- Implementation of structural calculation models and drafting of calculation reports
- Implement quality control procedures in the drafting of graphical and computational drawings entrusted to him/her
- Preparation of estimated metric and bill of materials
- Participate in site surveys and inspection visits
- Prepare feasibility studies, reports, specifications, designs, calculations, and estimates
- Support the construction phase to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Ensure the development of assigned tasks within assigned and shared time frames
- Analyze design-specific risks, prevent any problems, and propose solutions to handle any issues that arise during development
- Create and archive project documentation
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Thorough knowledge of Eurocodes, NTCs, and building codes and standards in general
- Knowledge of UNI EN 1090
- Knowledge of major structural calculation FEM software (Midas gen preferred)
- Marked propensity for planning and aptitude for working for objectives independently in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
- Specific skills for managing complex projects
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Ability to organize and optimize one’s work
- Leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to relate and coordinate project activities, and excellent tutoring and mentoring skills
- Proactivity in approach to work
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Old knowledge CNR;
- Knowledge of BIM authoring software (Revit)
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software
- Teaching skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
